Veterinary experience is preferred but not required.
Shifts are variable depending on your availability and our current staff needs.
Shifts fall between 7:
00 AM - 7:
00 PM Monday through Friday and Saturdays 7:
45 AM - 2:
00 PM.
Some rotating Kennel Tech shifts required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Veterinary assisting and/or animal handling skills are preferred.
Background in customer service is a plus.
Bonus for students actively enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program.
We are a busy hospital and are hands-on with our patients - be prepared to get physical! Veterinary and technician appointment check-in.
Obtain and record patient histories.
Electronic medical record keeping.
Patient restraint and general assistance to the DVM.
Collect specimens and perform routine diagnostic procedures.
Dispense and administer mediations, vaccines and treatments as instructed by Veterinarians and RVTs.
Phone calls, general patient intake and discharge.
Maintain knowledge veterinary healthcare recommendations in order to answer client questions.
Daily, weekly, monthly cleaning duties; strict adherence to disinfection protocols.
Restocking and organizing regularly.
