Our corporate Merchandising department is in search of a Senior Retail Category Specialist to support Merchandise Managers in the management & execution of daily merchandising tasks.
The primary function is to provide administrative and operational support to the Merchandise Managers.
This position ensures that category initiatives are executed cross functions and vendors according to established processes.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and have the ability to multi-task & prioritize tasks in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
The incumbent will provide operational support for all merchandising & marketing activities within the Notebook PC, Desktop PC & Monitor categories.
The Merchandise (Category) Coordinator supports the Merchandise Managers in analyzing, planning, and executing processes necessary to achieve sales and margin goals within the assigned category.

Assist with product advertising and promotion (art and copy support, proofing of ads).
Develop a level of comfort and confidence with vendors and vendor relations.
Assist the Merchandise Manager in day-to-day communications with vendor account managers.
Perform analysis & reporting (recurring & ad-hoc).
Responsible for new item setups & item maintenance including acquiring content and images from vendors.
Track & secure vendor funding.
Establish habits of analysis that assists the Merchandise Managers in forecasting, budgeting, managing assortments, conducting line reviews, score-carding vendors, setting price points consistent with established pricing strategies.
Learn about responsible areas category assortment including knowledge of products, vendor base and industry innovation.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION &
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred Proven ability to multitask and maintain organization Strong analytical skills and business savvy Excellent communication skills Strong aptitude to work within deadlines, both independently and as a part of a team Deep understanding of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook & Excel Self-starter Organized & Detail-oriented Experience with Micro Strategy & FileMaker preferred Experience in purchasing or buying and/or retail sales experience a plus Interest in computer products and services found in our store a plus OUR GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES:
